Purification and Tips

Do not put any stones in direct sunlight, unless specified.

Purifying and cleaning stones:

Soap: Please only use mild dish soap. (Palmolive, Joy, etc, are fine)

Clearing:  Rinse the stones with salt water. If you can, use kosher salt, but regular salt is fine if you don’t have it.

Tip: If your stones are not selling as fast as you want, move them around instead of keeping them in the same location. Also do a quick wash with salt water. Burn sage or incense to move energy out of the location. Remember the saying “If the walls could talk…”? The same concept applies here. Sometimes the location is carrying your or other’s energy. If things don’t feel right, the best thing to do is sage.

Sage: Burn sage to move energy out of the location. The smell is very strong! The best thing to do is before you leave for the day or early in the morning burn the sage with all the windows open and a fan so the smell can leave. I usually burn incense afterward to mask the smell and it works.

Incense: I personally like Nag champa for purifying and Sandalwood for money. However, I think all incense can work for something and it works to move the energy. That’s what counts.

Sound bowls: I personally do not have one but I have heard that certain bowls make a sound that will purify the stones and the location. I know some people do not like the smell of sage so this is an alternative.

Tips for specific stones:

Amethyst: Do not put Amethyst in a spotlight unless the bulb is a cool blue color. Regular light puts a white sheen on the crystals and makes the crystals appear lighter than they are. You really want to show off the stone's true color. Any ambient light is fine, as long it isn’t directly on the stone.

Citrine: Direct sunlight is okay with Citrine. Also, if you use a spotlight on Citrine it looks like a golden sun. It’s just gorgeous.

Gypsum:   It looks best with a spotlight hitting directly on the clear side. When lit up it looks like a gorgeous glacier.

Salt:  Functions best in a dry environment and should never be placed outside.  Salt has the ability to draw water from the surrounding atmosphere.  They should not be used in rooms or areas with excessive humidity.  If exposed to moisture, leave it to dry naturally, or if it is a lamp, keep lit for several hours to emit the surplus moisture.  Remove any crystallization residue with a dry cloth.  A moist cloth can be used to dust or wipe your salt lamp if necessary.

Candleholders:

They sell the best lit. Your customer’s love to see the glowing stone and that makes the sale. Also, display the metaphysical property of the stone.

i.e. Amethyst = luck and positively, Citrine= money, Quartz = power, Rose Quartz = love

If you cannot use a candle because of insurance issues get a night light cord and bulb (we sell them) and light it that way.
